One Fell Swoop
- Style: Acoustic Country Folk Blues
- Formed/Began performing: 1993
- Stomping grounds: St. Louis, Missouri
- One Fell Swoop blends touches of country, blues, and folk into their own acoustic-based sound. Their mini-CD offers 5 songs, including their ode to their late, great, Uncle Jim entitled "$500 Funeral." The Riverfront Times stated - "Cheryl Stryker has the most mature and powerful voice on the scene now. The band gives her solid, thoughtful songs with crystal-clear arrangements, and she just sings the (expletive deleted!) out of them....the instrumentalists on harp and fiddle kill, too." One Fell Swoop recently appeared along with Steve Earle, Son Volt, Willie Nelson and Neil Young at Farm Aid '96 in Columbia, SC. A full-length CD entitled "Look Out" is set for release this August.
