Style: Bluegrass, folk, country
Began performing: 1995
Stomping grounds : Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland and Virginia

Mike Auldridge describes Chesapeake as "kind of a cross between The Seldom Scene, Tony Rice, Vince Gill and Jackson Brown." That sounds kind of scary to me! Chesapeake is a bluegrass supergroup; Auldridge, Coleman and Klein came out of the groundbreaking and highly respected Seldom Scene, and Coleman has also played with Doc Watson for fifteen years. Gaudreau played with the Tony Rice Unit for nine years and performed with the Country Gentlemen and J.D. Crow and the New South. The band has won the Wammie award (Washington Area Music Award) as best bluegrass band in 1995, 1996 and 1997; and each member has won many individual awards over the last 20 years.
