ass band Cloud Valley, which included Missy Raines, Charlie Rancke and Steve Smith and recorded two albums. He joined the Dry Branch Fire Squad in 1993, and appears on their latest CD, Live! At Last! Evans is an ethnomusicologist, has served on
the board of the Bluegrass Museum, writes on the history of the banjo and teaches banjo workshops.
