"Banjo" Bob Freedman

Style: Country rockin' bluesabilly
Began performing: 1971
Stomping grounds : San Francisco Bay Area

Bob Freedman is a veteran of several of the late 70's / early 80's San Francisco country boom, having played guitar, steel guitar, and bass with such groups as The John Gallagher Band, The Bandits, Crosscut, and SF Blues notable Johnny Nitro and The D oorslammers (before the current name).

Growing up in Los Angeles in the 60's, and relocating to San Francisco in the early 70's, it's hard to believe that he plays country music. His sound is somewhat raw, his lyrics meant to make you laugh, and the music meant to make you want to dance.

Banjo Bob does not play banjo. It's a long story. It's on his Web page.
